Initial setup with folder name option
The Out-of-box Experience (OOBE) has undergone a transformation, allowing users to set a custom name for their user folder without the need to access the Command Prompt. This enhancement simplifies the initial setup process, making it more user-friendly. Furthermore, the recovery page has been updated to include recommendations for plugging in the computer before initiating a restore process, ensuring a smoother recovery experience.
Improved debloat policy
For Enterprise and Education editions, Microsoft has enhanced the “Remove Default Microsoft Store packages” policy. This allows administrators to specify additional apps for removal using MSIX and APPX packages, streamlining app management. Point-in-time restore new settings

Driver Policy changes
With the introduction of a new enforcement policy in the kernel, Windows 11 will no longer trust cross-signed drives by default. This change aims to bolster security by ensuring that only verified drivers from the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program (WHCP) are trusted. The system will monitor driver compliance for a minimum of 100 hours before enabling enforcement, thereby enhancing system integrity.
Accounts settings with Microsoft 365 upgrade option
Subscribers to Microsoft 365 Family will now notice an upgrade option on the Accounts page. This feature can be disabled if users prefer not to see suggested content, providing a more tailored experience.
Drop Tray improvements
The Drag Tray feature has been rebranded as the “Drop Tray” and relocated within the “Multitasking” settings. An update has also refined the peek view, minimizing disruptions when accessing this feature.
Pen settings changes
The Pen settings have been updated to include a new option for the pen tail button, allowing it to launch the same app as the “Copilot” key. This enhancement is now available across various channels, improving usability for pen users.
Administrator Protection new feature
Microsoft has re-enabled the Administrator Protection feature, enhancing security for accounts with administrative privileges. This feature creates a temporary, isolated account for elevation requests, addressing potential vulnerabilities associated with shared access to user profiles.
File Explorer with Voice Typing
The latest builds have introduced an updated File Explorer that supports Voice Typing for renaming files, further enhancing accessibility and user convenience.
Camera new settings
In the Canary Channel, build 29550 has updated the “Cameras” settings to include new controls for pan and tilt, along with performance improvements across various parts of the Settings app, enhancing the overall user experience.
