Windows 25 solves Windows 11’s biggest problem — download it now

For many users, the most striking aspect of Windows 11 is undoubtedly the centered taskbar and Start menu. This design choice stands out as one of Microsoft’s key strategies to set the new operating system apart from its predecessor, Windows 10.

Such a significant shift can be challenging for long-time Windows users who have grown accustomed to the traditional left-aligned layout. However, the newly released Windows 25 brings back the familiar arrangement, and it is now available for installation.

Windows 25 Theme: A Nod to Nostalgia

Earlier this year, we highlighted a concept design for Windows 25 by the prolific creator AR 4789, known for his imaginative takes on various versions of Windows, including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10, as well as an anticipated Windows 12.

While AR 4789’s vision for Windows 25 was visually appealing, it was not initially available for installation. The current iteration we are discussing is a theme that can be applied to Windows 11, offering users a chance to enhance their experience with the operating system. This theme can be easily uninstalled if users wish to revert to the original design.

Link Vegas has produced a detailed video that showcases the modifications introduced by the Windows 25 theme, along with a step-by-step guide on how to implement it. It’s important to note that the installation process is not particularly swift; it involves a fair amount of file renaming and copying. Therefore, it is advisable to watch the video beforehand to determine if the enhancements align with your preferences.

To apply the Windows 25 theme, you will need the following files:

  • File 1
  • File 2
  • File 3

We invite you to share your thoughts on this project in the comments section. And yes, the choice of the Christmas classic Silent Night as the background music for a video released in late March remains a curious decision.
