Linkboy: The New and Improved Game Emulator for Android

The best game emulator on Android, My Boy! GBA Emulator, is undergoing a transformation. Its developer, Pixelrespawn, has announced the launch of a new app called Linkboy. This move aims to unify the branding with the iOS version, Linking Boy, released last year, and introduce a more modern user interface and enhanced performance.

Linkboy continues to offer high-quality emulation and support for the “link cable”, enabling connections to other devices via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, it currently lacks some features present in the previous application, such as cheat support, cloud synchronization, and compatibility with physical controllers, which are available in the paid version of My Boy! GBA Emulator.

Despite these limitations, developers have assured users that they are working on further improvements that will surpass the previous application. Planned enhancements include support for GameBoy and GameBoy Color games, Retro Achievements, compatibility with physical controllers, and more. While some users have speculated about cross-platform connectivity between Android and iOS, Pixelrespawn has clarified that this is not feasible at the moment due to the different emulation technologies used on both systems.

Linkboy is currently available for free, offering basic emulation features. Users can unlock additional features, such as expanded save slots and Link Cable emulation over Wi-Fi Direct, by paying a one-time fee of .99. Unlike My Boy!, there is no free version of Linkboy with ads and extended features. If you are in search of a modern emulator for playing GameBoy Advance games on Android, Linkboy is a promising choice. However, its full potential will only be revealed in future updates.

Experience Linkboy on Google Play today and take your gaming to the next level!
