CHARTS: New DLC brings RimWorld back to Steam Top Ten

Management simulation game RimWorld has made a notable return to the Steam Top Ten, propelled by the launch of its new Odyssey DLC. The title surged an impressive 58 positions, landing at the No. 3 spot on Steam for the week, aided by a 20 percent discount that has attracted both new and returning players. Following its release on July 11th, the Odyssey DLC emerged as the fifth highest-selling title for the week, further solidifying RimWorld’s position in the gaming landscape.

Steam’s Competitive Landscape

In the ongoing competition for player engagement, Counter-Strike 2 continues to reign supreme as the No. 1 grossing title on the platform. Meanwhile, PUBG: Battlegrounds has climbed three positions to secure the second spot, buoyed by a crossover event with the popular K-pop group Aespa.

Valve’s Steam Deck hardware experienced a slight dip, dropping two spots to fourth place, just ahead of Marvel Rivals from NetEase, which rose an impressive 25 places to chart in sixth, thanks to the launch of a new season of content on July 11th.

In the indie sector, Peak has seen a decline, falling four spots to No. 7, despite having sold over 4.5 million units to date. On the other hand, Destiny 2 has made a comeback, entering the charts at No. 8 following the release of its latest expansion, The Edge of Fate, on July 15th. Naraka: Bladepoint, another title from NetEase, secured the ninth position, while Dead by Daylight slipped three spots to round out the top ten.
