On Friday, the anticipation surrounding the gaming community was palpable as the second pre-release of Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.9 made its debut. This update aims to address a variety of issues that emerged in previous snapshots, alongside a crucial update to the Data Pack major version.
Changes
- Copper Golems will now oxidize even when the game rule <span class="MCEffectTextHighlightA”>doDaylightCycle is disabled.
- The behavior of Copper Golems transforming into statues has been refined to align more closely with the Bedrock version:
- Copper Golems no longer need to be positioned near the center of an empty block to transition into a statue.
- They can now potentially turn into a statue as soon as they reach full oxidation.
Technical Changes
- The Data Pack version has been updated to 88.0, reflecting the breaking change to <span class="MCEffectTextHighlightA”>/setworldspawn and <span class="MCEffectTextHighlightA”>/spawnpoint introduced in the 1.21.9-pre1.
