Forgotten PS5, PC Game Lost Soul Aside Still Being Patched and Optimised

After a lengthy decade of anticipation, the gaming landscape has swiftly shifted its focus away from the PS5 and the once-promising title, Lost Soul Aside. Following its launch in August 2025, the game faced a wave of disappointing reviews, leading to a notable decline in discussions surrounding it.

Nevertheless, UltiZero Games remains committed to enhancing the action-oriented experience of Lost Soul Aside. A new update is now available for download on both PS5 and PC, aiming to address various bugs and glitches while optimizing key aspects of gameplay.

In our review of Lost Soul Aside for PS5, we described the game as “both awesome and painfully awkward,” ultimately awarding it a score of 6 out of 10. The review highlighted the game’s intricate design and engaging combat dynamics, which allow for a significant degree of player expression. However, it also pointed out the shortcomings of its narrative, character development, and overall world-building. Performance issues were another concern, but this latest patch seeks to remedy some of those problems.

  • Addressed a rare problem where players could not properly save the acquisition of the Stygian Wraith Polesword, Frosty Might Greatsword, or Ancient Thunder Greatsword. Affected players will automatically receive these weapons upon re-entering the game.

  • Corrected issues in Chapter 4 – Redstone Mines and Royal Court of Frosthold that prevented certain energy collection mini-games from being completed normally.
  • Addressed loading and unloading issues in the Harbour area.
  • Fixed a problem in Chapter 4 – Redstone Mines where Arena’s dialogue lines were repeated during specific battles.
  • Restored missing sword wave sound effects for Kaser’s Fusion Blast ability.
  • Implemented various other miscellaneous bug fixes.

PS5 & PC – Optimisations

  • Refined the interaction logic with Liana, allowing players to engage at any moment without waiting for her current action to finish.
  • Introduced a new toggle option in settings for ‘Auto Camera Rotation During Standby’.
  • Optimized frame rate performance for the Water Golem’s visual effects in Chapter 3 – Lethonix Dimension.
  • Adjusted Zana’s gaze direction for a more natural appearance during multi-character dialogues in Chapter 4 – Redstone Mines.
  • Enhanced various battle sound effects to improve the overall audio experience.
