Pokemon is coming to Hytale thanks to Minecraft modders PokeFind

In a significant development for fans of both Pokémon and Hytale, the renowned PokeFind team has announced their plans to integrate a Pokémon experience into Hypixel Studios’ much-anticipated sandbox RPG. This initiative will be facilitated through community-created mods, a testament to the vibrant creativity within the gaming community.

The confirmation was made via a post on X, where PokeFind shared an enticing glimpse of Pokémon models animated within Hytale. The brief video showcased beloved characters from the Kanto region, including iconic starters like Charizard, Blastoise, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur, all reimagined in Hytale’s unique art style. The team has indicated that more substantial updates are on the horizon, promising an evolving experience for players.

PokeFind has a rich history of crafting immersive Pokémon experiences within Minecraft, utilizing proprietary server-side plugins, custom resource packs, and original 3D models designed with tools such as Blockbench. This innovative approach has enabled them to cater to both Java and Bedrock players, including those on consoles and mobile devices, for nearly a decade.

Gotta catch ’em all in Hytale

The PokeFind team aims to replicate their successful formula in Hytale, although specific technical details remain under wraps. Their previous projects within Minecraft have included the creation of expansive Pokémon regions, engaging NPC-driven storylines, intricate battle systems, and leveling mechanics. They have even ventured into survival-style modes like Pokémon Skyblock, showcasing their versatility and commitment to delivering a rich gaming experience.

One developer from PokeFind shared insights on Reddit, noting, “PokeFind has been building within vanilla Minecraft for over eight years now, so we already have all our assets and systems established. It’s just a matter of porting it over.”

The team is currently prioritizing the swift release of content, with plans to expand based on community feedback and engagement. This project emerges as Hytale continues to grow following its early access launch, with modders already exploring large-scale content alongside official updates from Hypixel Studios.

While no specific release window has been announced, and due to licensing constraints, it is unlikely that the Pokémon content will be available through official mod platforms. Similar to PokeFind’s Minecraft endeavors, players may need to join designated servers to access the Hytale version of this beloved franchise.
