Windows Insider Feedback Hub Gets a New Design and Simpler Submission Flow

Microsoft has embarked on an exciting journey to enhance user engagement with the introduction of a revamped Feedback Hub app, now being rolled out to Windows Insiders on the Canary and Dev Channels. This fresh iteration brings a host of improvements designed to streamline the feedback process and foster a more interactive experience for users.

Key Features of the Redesigned Feedback Hub

The new Feedback Hub showcases a redesigned Home page, prominently featuring a novel “give a compliment” feedback option. This addition reflects Microsoft’s commitment to not only addressing concerns but also celebrating positive experiences. The feedback submission process has been thoughtfully simplified, allowing users to navigate with ease.

According to the Windows Insider team, “Feedback is now submitted using a single unified template, with the added ability to search categories.” This modernization of the feedback form is aimed at enabling quicker iterations and paving the way for future enhancements.

  • Enhanced Editing Tools: Insiders will find it easier than ever to edit their screenshots, thanks to new tools that allow for highlighting, hiding, and cropping images before submission.
  • Privacy Options: Users can now choose whether their feedback is private or public, providing greater control over their contributions.
  • Focused Feedback Experience: A new streamlined interface is dedicated solely to filing suggestions, problems, or compliments, ensuring that users can express their thoughts without distraction.

This redesigned Feedback Hub is accessible to Canary Insiders who install the recently released build 28020.1743, which also includes Shared audio improvements previously introduced on the Dev and Beta Channels earlier this year. Additionally, it is available in the optional Canary build 29553.1000, catering to testers eager to explore the latest platform changes.

For those on the Dev Channel, the build 26300.8085 will grant access to the new Feedback Hub for Insiders who have opted to receive the latest updates promptly via Windows Update. However, it’s worth noting that today’s Beta Channel build 26220.8079 does not include the new Feedback Hub, focusing instead on minor bug fixes.
