Nintendo Launches New Mobile App: Nintendo Store
Nintendo has been expanding its presence in the mobile app market, with recent releases such as Nintendo Today! and Nintendo Music gaining popularity among users. The latest addition to their lineup is Nintendo Store, now available on both iOS and Android platforms. This app is a revamped version of the My Nintendo app, originally launched in Japan in 2020.
With Nintendo Store, users can browse through a wide selection of consoles, physical and digital games, accessories, and merchandise. When ready to make a purchase, simply tap through to the product page using the in-app browser.
According to Nintendo, the app will provide users with regular updates on game news, events, and other related content. Additionally, it offers a feature that notifies users when items on their wishlist go on sale. For those visiting a physical Nintendo store or event, the app can be used to check in and receive rewards.
One of the standout features of Nintendo Store is the ability to track playtime for games across Nintendo’s recent consoles, including the 3DS and Wii U. To access this feature, users must link their Nintendo Network ID to their Nintendo Account. It’s worth noting that play activity on the 3DS and Wii U prior to February 2020 will not be included in the data.
