Microsoft Makes Purchasing Games Easier for Xbox Users

Late last year, Microsoft started working on allowing Xbox users to buy games through the official Xbox app after a court ruling against Google. The company has now completed this work, with the feature set to be available to beta users soon.

For iOS and Android users, this means that Xbox gamers can now purchase games, join Game Pass, redeem rewards, and buy in-game items directly through their Xbox apps. This convenience eliminates the need for a computer or console to make these purchases.

Additionally, Microsoft has announced that Ultimate members can now redeem perks like the Sea of Thieves Seventh Serving Emote directly from the app. With a saved payment method on their Xbox account, the purchase process will only require two in-app clicks, making it quick and easy for users.

The new feature will first be available to beta users before rolling out to all Xbox users in the near future.
