Colossal Order and Square Enix vets form new studio Day Off Interactive

In a notable development within the gaming industry, a new studio has emerged on the scene, bringing together a talented group of former employees from renowned companies such as Colossal Order and Square Enix. This fresh venture, named Day Off Interactive, is spearheaded by Karoliina Korppoo, whose impressive resume includes significant contributions to the acclaimed Cities: Skylines at Colossal Order, as well as roles at Rovio and Square Enix.

Meet the Team

Joining Korppoo in this exciting endeavor is Des Gayle, a veteran of Fellow Traveller and Unity, who has taken on the role of head of production. The core team, comprised of six dedicated professionals, also includes:

  • Ethan Grant – Studio Director
  • Karl Rabbitt – Deputy Studio Director

While Day Off Interactive is officially based in Ireland, its team members are distributed across the globe, reflecting a modern approach to collaboration in the gaming sector. Currently, the studio has expanded to a total of 14 staff members.
