GameNative now supports Epic Games on Android — here’s how it works

GameNative Update Allows for Epic Games Store Integration on Android

The PC emulator GameNative has released a nightly update that now supports Epic Games Store games, allowing users to log in to their Epic Games account and browse and download games on their Android devices. While this support is still experimental, it opens up a whole new world of gaming possibilities for Android users.

Setting up the integration is relatively straightforward after installing the latest GameNative update. Users need to navigate to the Epic Games Integration section in the settings, log in to their Epic Games account through a browser, and paste an authentication key into GameNative to populate their game list. It’s worth noting that the process may not be the smoothest yet, but it is functional and will likely be refined in future updates.

Downloading and playing games from the Epic Games Store through GameNative is a simple process, with games downloading directly from Epic’s servers. However, multiplayer games are currently not supported, with plans to add support in a future update. Like other emulated PC games on Android, users may need to adjust settings and drivers to run more demanding titles smoothly.

GameNative, an open-source alternative to other PC emulators, has been steadily improving with each update. The previous stable version added alpha integration for the GoG storefront and fixed some Steam cloud save issues. Built on open-source technologies like Proton and FEX, GameNative regularly updates drivers to enhance compatibility. Users should note that running games smoothly may require a powerful device with ample RAM.

As GameNative continues to evolve and expand its compatibility with different storefronts, Android users can look forward to a more seamless gaming experience on their mobile devices.
