As the anticipation builds for the launch of Split Fiction, we shift our focus to the technical specifications that will enhance your gaming experience starting March 6th. This includes details on PC requirements, Steam Native support, and Steam Deck verification, ensuring a seamless co-op adventure with your partner.
Steam Native
We are pleased to announce that Split Fiction will be fully compatible with Steam Native and has received Steam Deck verification. Much like the acclaimed title It Takes Two, players will not need the EA App to enjoy the game; it will be accessible directly through the Steam Client on PC. This streamlined approach allows for effortless game invites and quick access to friends via the Steam Friends List, immersing you in the action without delay. However, for cross-play with friends on different platforms, such as Xbox or PlayStation, a free EA account will be necessary.
Steam Deck Verified
For those who prefer gaming on the go, Split Fiction’s verification on Valve’s Steam Deck handheld device opens up exciting possibilities. Players can dive into the imaginative worlds of Mio and Zoe wherever they are, while also benefiting from cross-play capabilities. Additionally, the Steam Cloud Save feature allows you to start a game on your PC, save your progress, and continue seamlessly on your Steam Deck, or vice versa. We look forward to seeing the diverse locations where our community will engage with Split Fiction upon its release.
