Google Play Games on PC Introduces Custom Controls and More
Android users can now enjoy their favorite games on their Windows PC through Google Play Games, complete with custom controls and a new game sidebar feature. Google has announced these new improvements at GDC 2025, allowing players to remap game controls, set custom press points, and make quick adjustments during gameplay.
Players can now customize controls across games, reposition and resize joysticks, and map different keys to various movement directions. Additionally, users can import controls from others or export their own mappings for sharing. The new game sidebar feature enables quick adjustments while playing on PC.
Furthermore, Google will be introducing multi-account and multi-instancing support this month, allowing players to use multiple accounts simultaneously in the same game on PC. Google Play Games on PC will soon move out of beta and become generally available, showcasing the platform’s growth and bringing more multiplatform games and upgrades.
