Got a Samsung phone? You can now get an exclusive Squid Game season 2 sneak peek
Samsung Users Get Exclusive Look at Squid Game Season 2
Squid Game, the surprise hit series on Netflix in 2021, has left fans eagerly anticipating its second season, scheduled to premiere on December 26. However, for those who can’t wait, Samsung phone owners have a special treat. From December 19th to the 26th, they can head to the Galaxy Store to watch an exclusive clip from Squid Game season 2.
Samsung announced that the Netflix app is now available on the Galaxy Store as of December 17. While the official launch date was in December, the app had been listed since October, with user reviews dating back to October 22.
Although the Galaxy Store may not be the first app store that comes to mind for Samsung users, the company is leveraging partnerships like this to drive customers to its platform. This strategy is not new for Samsung, as they previously offered Epic Games’ Fortnite through the Galaxy Store after it was removed from the Google Play store in 2020, although they later lost the title in July 2024.
But the Squid Game excitement doesn’t stop there. Netflix has released Squid Game: Unleashed, a mobile game based on the series, now available on the Galaxy Store. The game features challenges from the show in playable modes with online multiplayer capabilities. For non-Samsung users, the game is also accessible on the Google Play Store.
Update, December 19, 2024 (03:45 PM ET): This post has been updated to clarify that you don’t need to download Netflix to view the exclusive clip in the Galaxy Store.
