However, I quickly discovered that crafting an engagement ring is no small feat—it’s a genuine investment of time and resources. While the material costs are manageable for seasoned players, the real challenge lies in reaching the final level of the mines, a task I had somewhat overlooked while focusing on building friendships. This misstep proved to be a significant hurdle in my quest for love.
How to craft an engagement ring
To embark on the journey of crafting an engagement ring, one must first achieve level 100 in the mines. This milestone unlocks additional recipes at The Dragon Forge, located on level 90. Once you have successfully created a Dragon-Forged Core, you can proceed to craft the engagement ring at a standard blacksmithing station.
Engagement ring recipe:
- 2 Diamonds
- 4 Mistril ingots
- 4 Gold ingots
- 1 Dragon-Forged Core (crafted at The Dragon Forge on mines level 90)
- 5 Monster cores
- 1 Mistril ingot
- 1 Pink diamond
- 1 Ancient firefly
- 1 Medium essence stone
Reaching level 100 in the mines is a prerequisite for unlocking the recipe for the Dragon-Forged Core, which is essential for your engagement ring crafting endeavors.
Engagement ring materials shortcuts
While purchasing an engagement ring outright isn’t an option, players can strategically navigate the material requirements by utilizing their tesserae, especially if they find themselves short on ore but rich in currency.
What you can buy or craft:
- Buy 40 gold ore from the blacksmith for 8,000 tesserae
- Craft 4x gold ingots at the blacksmithing station
- Buy 50 mistril ore from the blacksmith for 20,000 tesserae
- Craft 5 mistril ingots at the blacksmithing station (1 extra ingot is for the Dragon-Forged core you need to craft)
- Buy a Large Bundle of Stone to acquire 100 stone (you need 90) at the carpenter shop for 2,000 tesserae
- Craft 2 diamonds at the stone refinery (in the mines entrance) with 70 stone
- Craft 1 medium essence stone at the stone refinery with 20 stone
What you need to find or grind:
- 5 monster cores
- Dropped by lantern enemies (mines levels 1-39) or by flame spirits (mines levels 61-99)
- 1 pink diamond
- Mine pink diamond nodes (mines levels 81+)
- OR take your partner on a gem cutting date on Saturday or Sunday for a chance to receive one as a reward
- 1 ancient firefly
- Catch with a net in the Ancient Ruins (mines level 81+)
