India’s first dedicated PC and console game publishing house closes pre-seed founding round

1312 Interactive, a pioneering force in India’s gaming landscape, has successfully concluded its pre-seed founding round, marking a significant milestone for the country’s first dedicated PC and console game publishing house. The company was established by industry veterans Deepak Gurijala and Raviteja Mantena, who are committed to discovering, nurturing, and publishing exceptional indie and AA games aimed at global audiences.

Strategic Support from Industry Leaders

The venture has garnered early backing from notable figures in the gaming sector, including Akshat Rathee and Gautam Virk from Nodwin Gaming and Goodgame Investments, Rajat Ojha of Gametronics, and Sridhar Muppidi from YesGnome. Additionally, Tanay Tayal, formerly of Moonfrog, along with the founders of Playsimple, Vatsal Chintalpati from ExMachina investment partners, and Rick Herman, who has held positions at Sony and Amazon, have all lent their support to this ambitious initiative.

Gurijala and Mantena expressed their vision, stating, “India has some of the most talented game developers, yet our presence in the global PC and console market has been limited. 1312 Interactive is here to change that.” They emphasized their mission to elevate Indian games on the world stage while providing studios with the necessary resources to develop top-tier titles. The company is also looking beyond India, exploring collaborations with game developers in Southeast Asia, the MENA region, and South America.

Upcoming Game Releases

With an eye on the future, 1312 Interactive has already lined up three exciting titles set for release in 2025: Winds of Arcana from Brewed Games, Palm Sugar: A Village Story by Mono Tusk Studios, and Souls of Bombarika from Street Lamp Games. The company aims to expand its portfolio further, planning to introduce six to eight additional games annually.

As the gaming industry continues to evolve, 1312 Interactive stands poised to make a significant impact, not only in India but across the globe, as it champions the talents of local developers and brings innovative gaming experiences to a wider audience.
