Indie Game Utsav and Comic Con India have embarked on an exciting venture with their inaugural Steam sale, showcasing over 110 Indian-made and Indian-origin PC games, all available at discounts reaching up to 80 percent. This event, running from April 10 to 20, 2025, will culminate in a special feature on Steam’s global frontpage during its final weekend, from April 18 to 20. This collaboration signifies a pivotal moment for Indian game developers, as it offers them unprecedented visibility on a global platform.
Celebrating Indian Indie Games
The online sale coincides with the physical debut of Indie Game Utsav at the Mumbai Comic Con 2025, scheduled for April 12-13 at the Jio World Convention Centre. Attendees can look forward to exploring over 40 indie games for both PC and console, supported by industry giants such as Intel, Xbox, Xsolla, Specter, and Nodwin Gaming, with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) India acting as the community partner.
Avichal Singh, Co-Founder of Nodding Heads Games and Project Director of Indie Game Utsav, expressed the initiative’s intent: “This Steam Sale is our way of giving Indian games a wider audience.” Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder of NODWIN Gaming, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the unique offerings of Indian indie game creators and their potential to reach a broader player base.
The sale features a diverse array of titles, including fan favorites such as Bao Bao’s Cozy Laundromat, Fears to Fathom, Kurukshetra, Raji: An Ancient Epic, The Palace on the Hill, and Kamla. Additionally, it highlights upcoming Indian titles available for wishlisting, including Abashed, Appa, Detective Dotson, Fishbowl, Frontier Paladin, and Mukti.
