Microsoft has announced an exciting development for PC gamers, revealing that the new PC gaming Home experience, which has been in testing with Xbox Insiders, is now accessible to all users through the Xbox app on Windows. This update aims to enhance the overall gaming experience by providing a centralized hub for players to stay informed about game releases, events, and exclusive Game Pass content.
Chris Charla, the general manager of content curation and programs at Xbox, emphasized the significance of this update, stating, “Home highlights featured content so players can stay up to date on game releases, new events, Game Pass content, sales, and more.” The revamped interface includes curated collections and personalized recommendations, along with enticing deals and discounts. Notably, the new “Jump back in” feature allows players in Compact Mode to quickly resume gameplay from the game’s hub with just a click on any game card.
While many users utilize the Xbox app primarily to explore and launch titles available through Game Pass, it is evolving into a valuable resource for discovering Xbox games that are not part of the subscription service. Earlier this summer, Microsoft began collaborating with partners to integrate all PC games featuring Xbox functionalities into the app. This initiative is set to welcome nearly 400 titles that were previously difficult to find or purchase within the Xbox app.
The list of newly accessible games includes a variety of offerings from esteemed Japanese developers such as Kemco and Kairosoft, alongside popular titles like Shovel Knight Treasure Trove by Yacht Club Games, The Jackbox Party Pack, and The Invincible by Double 11. As Microsoft continues to expand its gaming ecosystem, the anticipation grows for the future influx of Xbox games available to Windows PC users.
