In an unexpected turn of events, the latest Snapshot has made its debut a day ahead of schedule, introducing a host of new customization options for Realms. Realm owners now have the ability to enhance their gaming experience by adjusting the render distance up to 25 chunks. Additionally, they can fine-tune both render and simulation distances, allowing for a tailored balance that suits their unique worlds.

Beyond these exciting enhancements, the Snapshot also includes numerous technical improvements and bug fixes aimed at refining overall performance.

New Features

Realms

  • Introduced render distance and simulation distance sliders in Realm configuration settings.

Minor Tweaks to Blocks, Items, and Entities

  • Endermen will now sustain damage from projectiles while riding other entities.
  • Endermen and Shulkers are no longer able to teleport onto Bedrock.

UI

  • For macOS users, a “Right Click Emulation” option has been added in the Controls settings, enabling Control + left-click to function as a right-click. This feature is turned off by default.

  • Fields include operands, which can be a list of numbers or IDs.
  • This function returns the product of the operands, requiring at least one operand.

  • Returns the minimum value of the operands, requiring at least one operand.

  • Returns the maximum value of the operands, requiring at least one operand.

Potion Tags

  • New potion tags include <span class="MCEffectTextHighlightA”>#dousesfire and <span class="MCEffectTextHighlightA”>#hurtswatersensitiveentities, among others.

Fixed Bugs in 26.3 Snapshot 9

  • Addressed numerous issues, including problems with block breaking on macOS and various teleportation glitches involving Endermen and other entities.
  • Resolved rendering issues affecting animated blocks and fixed several crashes related to game loading and interactions.

Get the Snapshot

Snapshots are available for Minecraft: Java Edition. To install the Snapshot, simply open the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Installations” tab. It is important to note that testing versions can potentially corrupt your world, so it is advisable to back up your data or run them in a separate folder from your main worlds.
