Star Wars Returns
Disney’s reissue of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith made its mark both domestically and in 34 key international markets, including Germany, France, Spain, the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico. This brings its lifetime global earnings to an impressive 2.2 million.
This limited one-week run was strategically timed by Disney, concluding just before the release of Dis/Marvel’s Thunderbolts later this week. The timing also aligns with the upcoming May the Fourth celebrations and follows the recent premiere of Andor Season 2, as well as the excitement generated during last weekend’s Star Wars Celebration. This event marked the return of Hayden Christensen from Revenge of the Sith to Ahsoka Season 2 and unveiled details about two upcoming theatrical features set in the Star Wars universe: The Mandalorian and Grogu (May 2026) and Star Wars: Starfighter (May 2027).
Revenge of the Sith exceeded expectations internationally, achieving No. 1 rankings in Germany, Norway, Chile, and Bolivia. In Germany, it secured the second-highest opening of the year to date with .6 million. It also performed well in Spain and Mexico, where it ranked No. 2, while landing at No. 3 in the UK and Australia, and No. 4 in France and Brazil.
