Netflix Rolls Out Dedicated Tab For Mobile Games In Android App

Netflix Ventures into Mobile Gaming

Netflix, led by VP of game development Mike Verdu, is making its debut in the world of mobile gaming. Starting today, subscribers can enjoy a selection of five games directly within the Netflix Android app. Among these offerings are two games inspired by the popular Stranger Things series, along with three original titles.

The games available to players are: Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The Game, both developed by BonusXP; Shooting Hoops by Frosty Pop; Card Blast by Amuzo & Rogue Games; and Teeter Up, also by Frosty Pop.

According to Netflix, players only need a Netflix membership to access these games, and there will be no advertisements or in-app purchases involved. Currently, the games are exclusively available on Android devices, where a new ‘Games’ row and tab have been added for easy access to download any of the mentioned titles. iOS compatibility is said to be in the works.
