Chessington World of Adventures, located just outside London, is poised to unveil a new PAW Patrol-themed land on May 3, 2026. This exciting development marks the UK’s first and only PAW Patrol® themed area, further enhancing the park’s reputation as a family-friendly destination.
World of PAW Patrol at Chessington World of Adventures
The new area promises to immerse families in the vibrant world of Nickelodeon’s beloved preschool franchise. Guests can look forward to a variety of attractions, play areas, themed dining options, merchandise, and even hotel accommodations, all designed to bring the charm of Adventure Bay to life.
Nick Bevan, Vice President at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are almost ruff-ruff ready to open the gates and welcome families to our brand-new World of PAW Patrol. Little ones will be able to step straight into Adventure Bay for the very first time in the UK, which is super exciting. We can promise a day full of rides, unforgettable moments, and plenty of high-paws. With the May Bank Holidays and half-term on the horizon, it’s the PAW-fect time to plan a day out jam-packed with teamwork, fun, and PAW-some surprises.”
The family-centric land will feature four main attractions, each themed around popular characters from the series:
- Chase’s Mountain Mission – a junior roller coaster
- Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue – a rocking ride experience
- Skye’s Helicopter Heroes – an aerial spinning attraction
- Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure – the U.K.’s first “Drifter” ride
In addition to these rides, three themed playscapes will provide ample opportunities for exploration and play. Notably, the ‘Rubble & Rocky’s Play Zone’ offers a hands-on construction zone where children can slide, climb, and engage in imaginative play alongside their favorite construction pup. Meanwhile, the ‘Flounder Boat’ invites the youngest fans to embark on a high-seas adventure with Cap’n Turbot.
Why Chessington?
The decision to introduce PAW Patrol at Chessington aligns with the park’s strategy to attract young families and boost visitation during a time when larger projects, such as Minecraft World, are still in the pipeline. By leveraging a globally recognized preschool brand, Chessington enhances its appeal to local families, tourists, and short-break visitors.
Minecraft World will be here too
While the highly anticipated Minecraft World is set to debut in 2027, the introduction of PAW Patrol serves to maintain momentum at the park and broaden its appeal to younger audiences. This strategic move not only creates immediate attractions for families but also lays the groundwork for future visits as children grow.
Merlin Entertainments, the parent company, has successfully integrated globally recognized intellectual properties across its attractions portfolio, which includes partnerships with Peppa Pig, LEGO, and the upcoming Minecraft World at Chessington. The £50 million investment in the PAW Patrol-themed land is part of a broader 0 million initiative aimed at developing “Minecraft”-themed attractions across the U.S. and U.K.
Chessington World of Adventures, conveniently located about 35 minutes by train from London Waterloo, is increasingly becoming a key family destination for Merlin Entertainments. The park’s ability to offer a diverse range of attractions tailored to different age groups positions it as a gateway for families seeking memorable experiences, ensuring that they return as their children grow and their interests evolve.
