Nvidia GeForce Now just landed on Amazon Fire TV, making couch PC gaming easier than ever

Nvidia has unveiled its latest innovation: the GeForce Now app, now available for Amazon Fire TV devices. This new application simplifies the process of playing PC games on televisions and other devices equipped with Amazon Fire TV, requiring nothing more than a Bluetooth controller to dive into the gaming experience. With the capability to deliver performance akin to the RTX 5080, gamers can enjoy high-quality graphics and smooth gameplay.

Expanding Gaming Horizons

The dream of playing PC games from virtually anywhere has long captivated gamers. Whether it’s the thrill of jumping into Fortnite on a mobile device, engaging in Team Fortress on a tablet, or even enjoying a classic like Monopoly Go, the possibilities are now within reach. Nvidia GeForce Now facilitates this by utilizing Nvidia’s powerful game servers to stream games directly to a variety of devices, including some of the best gaming handhelds. This means that even devices lacking dedicated gaming hardware can harness the power of a high-performance PC.

The introduction of the Amazon Fire TV app adds to the growing roster of platforms supported by GeForce Now, which already includes applications for Windows, Linux, MacOS, ChromeOS, and Android. Many users have found success using it on devices like the Steam Deck, while others can also partake in the gaming experience on phones, tablets, laptops, and televisions.

The app is readily accessible for download through the app stores on Amazon Fire TV devices, whether integrated into smart TVs or available via Fire TV Sticks. This seamless integration allows gamers to easily transition to their preferred gaming setup.

In addition to the app launch, Nvidia has expanded its library, announcing the inclusion of over 4,000 games on GeForce Now. New titles such as Disciples: Domination, REANIMAL (set to release on Steam on February 13), and Kingdom Come: Deliverance through Game Pass (also debuting on February 13) will soon be available for players to enjoy.

For those looking to join GeForce Now, there are various subscription options. A free tier grants access to over 2,000 games, with performance capped at 60fps at 1080p and one-hour session limits. For .99, gamers can enjoy six-hour sessions at 1440p@60fps and access to over 4,000 games. A premium option at .99 offers eight-hour sessions at 5K resolution and up to 240fps. Interested players can sign up through Nvidia’s GeForce Now page.
