Odin: Valhalla Rising Goes Global
Longtime readers (and why wouldn’t you be?) of the site may recall a few years ago back in 2022 that Catherine covered the upcoming MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising. And if this MMORPG’s take on the fabulous world of Norse mythology had you wishing you could get your mitts on it, then good news! Kakao Games has announced that Odin is officially going global this year.
Already boasting 17 million downloads in Asia alone, Odin: Valhalla Rising will launch globally for mobile and PC later this year. Pre-registration starts on April 3rd, allowing you to carve out your character name and make server reservations. That’s on top of a magnificent new trailer showing off what you can expect to experience!
Set in the magnificent, epic world of Norse mythology, Odin: Valhalla Rising sees you taking on the realms of Midgard, Jotunheim, Nidavellir and Alfheim as you explore. With mounts to ride across the land and sky, treasure to uncover, mountains to scale and more, it promises epic epic adventure to fit the Norse theme.
Whosever holds this phone…
Boasting four realms, and four classes (Warrior, Sorceress, Priest and Rogue) to begin with, Odin: Valhalla Rising is thoroughly selling itself on its next-gen quality. But that Unreal engine graphics, minimal loading screens, cross-play and visual splendour to truly showcase its setting, this may be a real phone melter.
Having been one of the biggest hits upon its release in Korea way back in 2021, it’s no surprise that Kakao is now bringing it worldwide. But can it hold up nearly half a decade since launch? Well, if those features are authentic it’ll certainly have a healthy chance.
