Street Fighter movie’s cast may include Minecraft’s Jason Mamoa, WWE’s Roman Reigns and others – The Times of India
In a notable development within the entertainment industry, Jason Momoa, celebrated for his role in A Minecraft Movie, and WWE superstar Roman Reigns, recognized from Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, are reportedly in discussions to join the cast of Legendary’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Street Fighter. According to a report from Deadline, they are not alone in these negotiations; Andrew Koji, known for his performance in Bullet Train, and Noah Centineo, who recently appeared in Warfare, are also in talks for roles in this highly anticipated film, which draws inspiration from the iconic Capcom video game series.
While excitement builds, studio representatives have opted to remain tight-lipped, with no official comments regarding the project or its plot details. The directorial reins have recently been passed to Kitao Sakurai, known for his work on Bad Trip, who took over from Danny and Michael Philippou, the duo initially brought on board in April 2023 following Legendary’s acquisition of the exclusive film and television rights to the Street Fighter franchise.
