The long-delayed The Division Resurgence hits iOS and Android on March 31

Ubisoft Announces Release Date for The Division Resurgence

After much anticipation, Ubisoft has finally revealed that The Division Resurgence will be launching on March 31 for both iOS and Android. This free-to-play mobile game, set in the universe of The Division, offers players an MMO-style shared open world with both co-op and solo gameplay.

The game features an original story that takes place during the early days of the pandemic in NYC, serving as a sequel to the first game and a prequel to the second. With third-person action RPG elements and PvP, players can expect plenty of combat and loot to collect for gear upgrades.

Pre-registration is now open on the iOS Store and Google Play Store, with special perks announced for The Division 2 players. Veterans of the franchise will receive exclusive loot when booting up Resurgence, while those who play The Division 2 after trying the mobile game will unlock additional in-game rewards.

10th Anniversary Showcase and Updates

Today’s launch date announcement was part of a 10th anniversary showcase for The Division franchise. Ubisoft also unveiled an anniversary-themed season for The Division 2, featuring global events inspired by the original game and exclusive in-game items like a hoodie.

As part of the celebration, the Warlords of New York expansion for The Division 2 is now free, with a new update focused on realistic combat. Additionally, both The Division 1 and The Division 2 are currently on sale, with discounts of up to 90 percent on PC and 85 percent on PlayStation and Xbox.

While no new information was shared about the recently-announced Survivors DLC for The Division 2, Ubisoft promises it will offer an updated take on the survival extraction experience. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date for The Division Resurgence approaches.
