MelonDS Team Releases Version 1.1 of Nintendo DS Emulator
The team behind the MelonDS app has unveiled the latest version of the Nintendo DS emulator, bringing significant enhancements to Nintendo DSi emulation and cheat database support.
The update, announced on Reddit, introduces high-level emulation of the DSi’s digital signal processor, addressing previous frame rate issues when running DSP-dependent games. Additionally, microphone input support and improved audio quality for DSi games have been added.
Aside from DSi improvements, the update includes cheat database support, bug fixes, and a resolution glitch fix. MelonDS version 1.1 is now available on Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms.
However, the update is not yet accessible through the unofficial Android port. Users are hopeful that these enhancements will soon make their way to mobile devices.
