TinyBuild sells QA firm Red Cerberus

Developer and publisher TinyBuild has officially transitioned ownership of its quality assurance division, Red Cerberus, to the testing firm TestFly. This strategic move, valued at .5 million, will see the cash payment finalized upon the deal’s closure.

TestFly Welcomes Red Cerberus

Kevin Chelius, CEO of TestFly, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Red Cerberus to the TestFly family. Their expertise, reputation, and deep industry knowledge perfectly align with our mission to set new standards in game testing.” Chelius emphasized that this acquisition not only enhances TestFly’s capabilities but also reinforces their commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality gaming experiences on a global scale, particularly in Latin America.

On the other side of the transaction, TinyBuild’s CEO, Alex Nichiporchik, reflected on the significance of this sale. “The sale of Red Cerberus marks an important milestone in streamlining our portfolio and focusing on what we do best: creating and growing great IP,” he noted. Nichiporchik expressed gratitude towards the Red Cerberus team for their dedication and contributions throughout their partnership.

By reallocating resources away from quality assurance, TinyBuild aims to concentrate on its core creative pipeline, thereby maximizing long-term revenue potential. The company is looking ahead with optimism, anticipating the launch of several high-potential games in 2025. “We remain excited about the future of TinyBuild,” Nichiporchik concluded, signaling a renewed focus on innovation and growth in the gaming landscape.
