SoftTalk Messenger, a homegrown application developed by Simple Azenabor, has made a significant stride in the digital communication landscape with the launch of its Creator Partner Program. This initiative is designed to reward African content creators for their engagement and community-building efforts, allowing them to retain 100% of their revenue generated through audience interactions on the platform.

SoftTalk Messenger introduces monetisation
In a recent statement, Azenabor elaborated on how group administrators and digital community leaders can now monetize their efforts through the SoftTalk Creator Partner Program. This program not only emphasizes the importance of active engagement in group chats but also provides a pathway for creators to transform their conversations into sustainable income.
“SoftTalk Messenger, the Nigerian-owned messaging app redefining digital communication, is making waves with its creator-first monetisation program and privacy-enhanced features.”
“SoftTalk Messenger’s Creator Partner Program rewards creators for building active, engaging group chats. With earnings based on monthly engagement scores, creators can now turn conversations into sustainable income.”
“You create. You engage. You deserve to earn. SoftTalk Creator Partner is built to honour the value creators bring to digital communities.”

Privacy-focused communication
Azenabor emphasized that SoftTalk Messenger prioritizes user privacy, allowing users to communicate without disclosing their phone numbers. This innovative approach utilizes @usernames instead of traditional phone numbers, thereby enhancing privacy and safeguarding users from spam and identity breaches.
“Unlike traditional messaging platforms, SoftTalk Messenger uses @usernames instead of phone numbers.”
“This ensures users and creators enjoy enhanced privacy and protection from spam or identity breaches.”
The application also integrates various commerce and payment tools tailored for African users, including marketplace trading, bill payments, and mobile data purchases, alongside voice and video calling capabilities.
“SoftTalk Messenger is designed with African users in mind, solving long-standing challenges in communication, commerce, and now content creator monetisation.”
Direct monetisation, no middlemen
Azenabor highlighted a pivotal aspect of SoftTalk’s system: creators can earn directly without the involvement of intermediaries or third-party agencies, ensuring they retain all their earnings.
“For creators, SoftTalk Messenger introduces a game-changing advantage: direct monetisation. On many global platforms, African creators depend on foreign agencies to receive earnings—often losing a cut. SoftTalk eliminates this barrier completely.”
The platform is open to all types of community leaders, from educators and mentors to religious organizations and clubs. To qualify for the program, groups must consist of at least 100 participants, with users able to check their monetisation status within the app.
SoftTalk Messenger is readily available for download on both Apple and Android platforms, and it does not require users to provide sensitive personal information.
“SoftTalk Messenger is for Africans and the world. We’re giving content creators the freedom to earn without gatekeepers, and users the tools to connect securely.”
WhatsApp to introduce monetisation
In related news, technology giant Meta has announced upcoming updates to WhatsApp, which will include new features aimed at enhancing the user experience and providing monetisation options for content creators and business owners.
