Apple TV app finally makes it to Android

Android users can now rejoice as the Apple TV app makes its long-awaited debut on Google Play, allowing them to subscribe to both Apple TV+ and the MLS Season Pass. This launch marks a significant milestone, arriving eight years after the app first graced Apple’s ecosystem.

Features and Benefits

The Apple TV app is compatible with a range of Android devices, including smartphones, tablets, and foldable models. Users can easily subscribe to Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass using their Google Play accounts, ensuring a seamless experience across platforms. Notably, Apple TV+ offers a seven-day free trial, inviting users to explore its offerings without immediate commitment.

Among the app’s standout features is the Continue Watching function, which allows users to pick up right where they left off, no matter which device they are using. Additionally, the Watchlist feature enables users to curate a personalized list of content they wish to view in the future. The app supports streaming over both Wi-Fi and mobile connections, and it also includes offline download capabilities for those on the go.

Subscribers will have access to a wealth of acclaimed titles, including popular series such as Severance, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, Loot, Palm Royale, Masters of the Air, and the beloved Ted Lasso. In addition to series, the app features a selection of Apple Original films, including Wolfs, The Instigators, The Family Plan, Killers of the Flower Moon, and CODA.

This launch is particularly timely, coinciding with the upcoming Major League Soccer season, which kicks off its 30th season on February 22. The MLS Season Pass provides fans with access to every match in one centralized location, free from the blackouts often associated with U.S. sports coverage. Subscribers can look forward to exclusive content, in-depth coverage, and comprehensive analysis of all 30 MLS clubs as they take to the field.
