Google Keep, the popular note-taking service, is set to enhance its web experience with the introduction of text formatting features. After a two-year wait since the mobile app received similar capabilities, users can finally expect a more versatile interface on the web.
Enhanced Formatting Options
The forthcoming update will introduce a rich text formatting toolbar, conveniently located at the bottom of each note. Users will notice an underlined “A” button, which, when clicked, unveils a suite of formatting options. This new functionality allows for a variety of text customizations, including:
- Italicizing text
- Bold text
- Underlining text
- Removing formatting
- Transforming standard text into H1 or H2 headers
This update is currently rolling out to users across different accounts, including Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal Google accounts. While the rollout is underway, it may take several weeks for all users to gain access to the new features.
As anticipation builds, users are hopeful that this update will also synchronize with the existing Android app, although Google has yet to confirm this integration.
