To initiate this process, users should enable Developer Options by navigating to Settings, scrolling to About phone, selecting Software information, and tapping the Build number seven times. Once Developer Options are activated, users can find them under Settings > System > Developer options. At this stage, a prompt will ask if anyone has requested the activation of this setting; users should select “No one asked me.” After this confirmation, a device restart is necessary, followed by the 24-hour waiting period.
Steps to Sideload Android Apps
Once the prerequisites are fulfilled, users can proceed to sideload apps on their Android devices. Here’s how:
1. Download an APK file
Visit a reputable website to download the desired APK file. After downloading, open the Files app and tap on the file to begin the installation process.
2. Disable Advanced Protection
Upon attempting to install the app, users will encounter a notification indicating that their device is protected by Advanced Protection. To proceed, tap Settings and disable this feature temporarily.
3. Install the app
With Advanced Protection disabled, return to the Files app, navigate to Downloads, and select the downloaded APK file. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
4. Re-enable Advanced Protection
After successfully installing the app, it is crucial to re-enable Advanced Protection. This can be done by searching for Advanced Protection in Settings and turning it back on, ensuring that the device remains secure.
