PSA: CMF Watch owners need to switch over to a new app

In a significant shift for users of the CMF Watch app, Nothing has announced plans to phase out the application, which has been available on the Google Play Store for nearly three years. As the company prepares to sunset the app, current users are encouraged to transition to the Nothing X app to ensure continued functionality and access to their fitness data.

Migration Timeline and Process

The CMF Watch app will officially be removed from app stores on April 3, 2026, with the Google Play Store expected to discontinue it by the end of that year. Users of CMF Watches must begin pairing their devices with the Nothing X app by July 19, 2026, to facilitate a seamless transition.

During the migration process, users can expect a smooth transfer of essential data, including:

  • Workout records
  • Daily activity
  • Sleep patterns
  • Heart rate
  • Blood oxygen levels
  • Stress metrics
  • Active score
  • Training load (for Watch Pro 2 users)
  • Fitness goals

However, it is important to note that certain personal details will need to be re-entered manually. This includes:

  • Nicknames
  • Avatars
  • Height and weight
  • Female health data

Additionally, custom watch faces created within the CMF Watch app will not be transferred to the Nothing X app. Once the migration process begins, users will find their CMF Watch app accounts deactivated, preventing any further logins or downloads of the original app.

To initiate the migration, users should open the Nothing X app, log into their existing account, connect their smartwatch, and select the Data Migration option. For those encountering difficulties, Nothing’s support team is available to assist with the transition.
