Russia’s leading Android application and game store, RuStore, has officially opened its doors to Korean developers, marking a significant milestone in cross-border digital collaboration. According to Lustore, the platform launched by VK Company Limited in 2022 with backing from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, boasts an impressive 60 million monthly active users (MAUs) and is installed on over 100 million devices.

Expanding Horizons for Korean Developers

With more than 80,000 apps currently registered on Lustore, half of which come from international developers, this initiative presents a unique opportunity for Korean creators to tap into one of the world’s largest mobile app markets. The platform has noted a particularly strong interest in mobile games from Asia, which have been consistently popular in terms of both downloads and sales.

Lustore not only facilitates entry into the Russian market but also offers a comprehensive suite of integrated tools designed to support app development and operational needs. These resources include features aimed at enhancing app promotion and marketing, ensuring that developers have the necessary support to thrive in a competitive landscape.

In a strategic move to bolster this initiative, Lustore recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea’s NSPEC during the 2025 Tokyo Game Show held in Japan. This partnership aims to facilitate the entry of the shooting game “Worldon” into the Russian market while simultaneously strengthening collaborative efforts in global game distribution.
