Samsung is enhancing its Health app with a suite of new features designed to empower users in managing their health more effectively. This update transforms the app into a personal digital health assistant, streamlining access to vital health information.
New Features Unveiled
The latest iteration introduces a Health Records feature, enabling users to view their medical histories from various healthcare providers directly within the app. Through a collaboration with b.well Connected Health, which integrates major electronic medical record systems such as Epic and Cerner in the United States, users can now effortlessly track vaccinations, prescriptions, and test results.
In addition to health records, Samsung is expanding its medication tracking capabilities, which were initially launched in the U.S. last year. Users can now scan pill bottles to add medications to their lists, monitor adherence via a new dashboard, and receive alerts regarding potential drug interactions and allergies. This feature is also being rolled out in South Korea and India, broadening its accessibility.
Another noteworthy addition is the barcode scanning feature, which allows users to log their daily food intake by simply scanning product barcodes. Powered by a partnership with Fat Secret, this tool aims to assist users in cultivating healthier eating habits.
With these enhancements, Samsung continues to position its Health app as a comprehensive tool for personal well-being, making it easier for users to stay informed and proactive about their health management.
