SportVot Expands Sports Streaming to Android TV and Amazon Fire TV

Mumbai: SportVot, the innovative sports-tech startup, has made a significant leap in its streaming capabilities by launching its app on both Android TV and Amazon Fire TV. This strategic expansion allows the platform to transcend the confines of mobile and tablet devices, offering viewers an enriched experience with its extensive lineup of live sporting events directly on their televisions.

Expanding Reach and Accessibility

With Android TV facilitating app access via Google Play and Amazon Fire TV boasting a reach of over 250 million devices worldwide, SportVot is poised to tap into a broader connected-TV audience. This move not only enhances the company’s distribution footprint but also aligns with its vision of making sports more accessible to fans everywhere.

SportVot has been diligently enhancing its technology and production capabilities to deliver an increasing number of live sporting events. In this next phase of its television expansion, the company aims to extend its app to additional connected-TV and operator platforms, including Tata Play Binge, Vi TV, Sun TV, Dish TV, Sri Lanka Telecom, and CloudWalker, among others.

Shubhangi Gupta, Co-founder and CMO of SportVot, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “The opportunity with connected TV goes beyond giving fans another way to watch. It allows the competitions and sporting properties on SportVot to enter a viewing environment that has traditionally been central to sports consumption. As we work with more organisers across different levels of sport, expanding the platforms through which their games can be discovered and followed becomes an important part of building a larger audience for the sport itself.”

This expansion into connected TV comes at a time when SportVot is actively broadening the variety of sports available on its platform. The company has successfully powered over 600,000 games across more than 40,000 tournaments and 52 sports, encompassing everything from school and community-level competitions to district, state, and national events. Notably, its programming also extends to international markets.

Recently, SportVot has showcased European summer club friendlies featuring over 23 clubs, including Aston Villa. Additionally, the platform has secured its position as the official streaming partner in India for the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), broadcasting events such as the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed.

SportVot’s international cricket coverage has also expanded, reaching audiences in countries like Australia, Japan, Uganda, Eswatini, Germany, and Sweden, further enriching its diverse sports catalogue. With programming spanning cricket, football, kabaddi, and more, the launch on Android TV and Amazon Fire TV signifies a pivotal advancement in SportVot’s mission to create a wider distribution network, ultimately making grassroots, domestic, and international sports more accessible to television audiences.
