Your Samsung phone just got a big upgrade for editing photos, videos, and documents

Samsung has recently launched a significant update to its Galaxy Enhance-X app, now at version 16.3.00.31, featuring a complete redesign and a suite of new functionalities aimed at enhancing user experience. This update, which began rolling out just a few days ago, transforms the app into a more organized and user-friendly platform.

The revamped interface introduces a cleaner three-tab layout, effectively categorizing the app’s features into:

  • Plugins: A dedicated section for add-ons that enhance editing capabilities.
  • Home: The primary workspace for editing photos and videos.
  • History: A repository for previously edited files.

This reorganization aims to simplify navigation, particularly for users who found the previous interface somewhat overwhelming. The new plugin system is particularly noteworthy, currently offering three plugins that users can download separately from the Galaxy Store:

  • CinematicGlow: Infuses a soft, dreamy diffusion effect into photographs.
  • FilmStyle: Provides nine distinct film-inspired filters.
  • SkyGuide: Identifies stars, constellations, and celestial objects in night sky images.

Once installed, these plugins integrate seamlessly into the app’s editing tools, functioning as mini-apps that can be expanded upon in the future.

Expanded editing tools

In addition to the visual enhancements and plugins, the update brings forth an array of new editing tools for photos, videos, and documents. Within the Photos section of the Home tab, users will find the “Photo tools” option, which includes features such as:

  • Blur fixing
  • Reflection removal
  • HDR adjustments
  • Sharpening

Face editing tools have also been introduced, allowing users to adjust smoothness, tone, eyes, and jawline. The “Doc tools” section offers innovative features for document editing, enabling users to clean and crop scanned documents automatically. Additionally, users can convert and combine scans into JPEGs or PDFs, with options to apply filters, translate text, draw, crop, and add annotations.

Another significant enhancement is the introduction of batch editing, allowing users to process multiple photos or videos simultaneously. All edited content is saved in standard formats such as JPEG, MP4, and PDF, with the new History tab ensuring that everything remains organized and easily accessible.
