Connecting .NET Lambda to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL via RDS Proxy

Many organizations are modernizing legacy .NET applications while reducing database costs and enhancing scalability, particularly during migrations to AWS Lambda and transitions from SQL Server to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition. The process involves connecting Lambda functions to Aurora PostgreSQL using Amazon RDS Proxy, with AWS Secrets Manager managing secure credential storage. The architecture includes a .NET Lambda function interfacing with Aurora PostgreSQL via RDS Proxy, which provides connection pooling to minimize database connection overhead. The solution requires a CloudFormation template to provision resources such as a VPC with private subnets, an Aurora PostgreSQL cluster, RDS Proxy, and Secrets Manager. The RDS Proxy is configured with parameters including PostgreSQL engine family, idle client connection timeout, and Secrets Manager secret. A Windows EC2 instance is provisioned, and access is facilitated through AWS Systems Manager Fleet Manager. The solution includes creating a sample table named "employee" in the database and a new .NET Lambda project that utilizes Npgsql for database connections. The Lambda function is deployed using the AWS CLI, and testing involves invoking the function and retrieving logs from Amazon CloudWatch. Finally, resources created during the process should be deleted to prevent ongoing charges.

Last Flag, The Capture The Flag Multiplayer Shooter By Night Street Games, Is Now Live On PC

In version 26.2, a new feature called sulfur spikes has been introduced, which generates naturally in sulfur caves. These spikes can form stalactites when placed on the ceiling and stalagmites when on the floor. They can be combined to create longer formations and will merge if placed adjacent without pressing the shift key. Stalagmites will break if not anchored, and stalactites will fall if unsupported. Thrown tridents can break sulfur spikes. The Potent Sulfur block can no longer be crafted back into sulfur blocks, and several block textures have been updated. The Sulfur Cube can no longer be picked up by boats. Sound effects for Nautilus jets and recoveries have been updated. The Data Pack version is now 102.0, and the Resource Pack version is 86.0. The minecraft:bed block entity has been removed, and entity predicates have been restructured for simplification. New block textures for sulfur spikes have been added. Several bugs have been fixed, including issues with axolotls, emissive textures, client crashes, and leads disappearing from sulfur cubes. Snapshots for Minecraft: Java Edition are available for installation, with a reminder to back up worlds.

The Dwarf Fortress x Magic: The Gathering set features unique illustrations, including a trapped dwarf facing a vampiric Ñ and a capital D unleashing dragonfire. One illustration, titled Communal Brewing, depicts dwarves gathering in a dining hall. The card designs utilize ASCII art, reflecting the game's origins. The Secret Lair x Dwarf Fortress: Create New World set will be available for order starting April 27 on the Secret Lair website.

More than 20 classic Warhammer and WH40K games just came to Steam, 7 of them for the first time ever

15 Disney titles have been removed from Steam. SNEG and Games Workshop are launching Warhammer Classics to revive beloved Warhammer games for modern audiences. The initiative aims to make classic titles accessible and compatible with current hardware and operating systems. Some games categorized as unrated include Talisman: Digital Classic Edition (4th Edition), Talisman: Origins, Chainsaw Warrior, Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of Night, and Dark Future: Blood Red States. A Steam sale is being held to celebrate the launch, offering discounts of 20% to 90% on nearly all titles.

Warhammer Classics brings dozens of lost games to Steam, including my blursed childhood favorite
