Final Fantasy 11 is set to enhance its free trial experience by removing the current two-week limit and raising the level cap for trial players from 50 to 75. The changes aim to allow players unrestricted playtime and greater engagement with the game, similar to the successful free trial model of Final Fantasy 14. Certain restrictions will remain to prevent farming bots and scammers, including limitations on using the auction house, party invitations, earning more than 100,000 gil at a time, and communication methods. Director Yoji Fujito acknowledged that the existing trial limitations feel outdated and expressed a desire to implement these changes before the game's 25th anniversary in May 2027.

Brian, the solo developer behind Burgee Media, created an MMORPG called Erenshor, which was released in early access on Steam. The game features a fully simulated single-player environment with quests, expansive zones, and computer-controlled "simplayers." Erenshor has a 94% positive review rating and will introduce raids this summer, enhancing gameplay. A recent patch added the "Friends Club," a guild of simplayers with elitist attitudes, expected to create raid drama. Players can enjoy endgame loot without the social pressures of traditional MMOs. A fifth and final raid will be included in a future update before the game's 1.0 launch.

The announcement of "Ghosts of Desire" has generated interest among both gamers and Evangelion fans. Comments on the teaser trailer have been disabled, possibly to manage speculation about the project. Jagex initiated a general rollback of RuneScape due to an issue with an overwhelming surplus of runes, allowing players to store up to 2,147,483,647 of a single type in their pouches. This bug posed a risk of causing irreparable economic damage to the game's economy. The rollback was implemented as a last resort, leading to disappointment among players who lost their progress. Community reactions were mixed, with some expressing understanding despite their frustration, while others found humor in the situation.
