Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4880 (KB5052100) to the Beta Channel. This update is exclusively available for those in the Beta Channel who have not transitioned to receiving updates based on Windows 11, version 24H2. The changes in Beta Channel builds and updates are categorized into two segments: new features, improvements, and fixes that are gradually rolled out for Insiders who have enabled the toggle for the latest updates (accessible via Settings > Windows Update), and those that are rolling out to all users in the Beta Channel. Known issues
[File Explorer]
- We are currently investigating a problem that results in File Explorer being sluggish to close for some Insiders when using the X button, which may also affect other title bar functions.

- A known issue exists where two new enterprise-specific device info and accessibility preferences cards are appearing on non-managed PCs signed in with Microsoft accounts.
Paint Update
An update for Paint (version 11.2412.271.0 and higher) is being rolled out to Windows Insiders in both the Beta and Release Preview Channels. This update introduces the Copilot menu, where users can access a suite of intelligent features designed to expedite image generation and editing tasks. By clicking the Copilot icon in the toolbar, a drop-down menu unfolds, providing easy access to tools such as Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative Erase, and Remove Background. It is important to note that Cocreator is exclusively available on Copilot+ PCs. Each feature in the dropdown is accompanied by a brief description to assist in selecting the appropriate tool.

Reminders for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel
- Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive updates based on Windows 11, version 23H2 through an enablement package (Build 22635.xxxx).
- Many features in the Beta Channel are deployed using Control Feature Rollout technology, starting with a select group of Insiders and gradually expanding as we assess feedback to ensure a smooth rollout.
- For those in the Beta Channel eager to be among the first to receive features gradually rolled out to you, you can activate the toggle to receive the latest updates via Settings > Windows Update. Over time, we will increase the rollout of features to all users with the toggle enabled. If you choose to keep this toggle off, new features will still be gradually introduced to your PC as they become ready.
- Features and experiences included in these builds may not always be released, as we explore various concepts and gather feedback. Features may evolve, be removed, or replaced, and may not extend beyond Windows Insiders. Some of these features could potentially appear in future Windows releases when they’re ready.
- Some features currently in development may not be fully localized, with localization occurring over time as features are finalized. We appreciate your reporting of any localization issues via the Feedback Hub.
- As the Dev and Beta Channels represent parallel development paths, there may be instances where features and experiences debut in the Beta Channel first.
