After an extensive period of testing, Qualcomm has officially transitioned its Adreno Control Panel out of beta, rebranding it as the Snapdragon Control Panel. This change brings forth a refined user experience while maintaining the core functionalities that users have come to appreciate. The revamped interface is designed specifically for gamers, creators, and power users utilizing Snapdragon X Elite PCs.
Enhanced User Experience
The Snapdragon Control Panel serves as a centralized hub for managing all aspects related to the Adreno GPU. Upon installation, the application scans the system for compatible games, including those in your Steam library. Users are then presented with a comprehensive list that allows for adjustments on a per-game basis.
- Adjust super resolution settings
- Set frame-rate limits
- Modify anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering
- Change detail levels and other graphics options
This streamlined approach enables users to make necessary adjustments in one location, eliminating the need to navigate through in-game menus before launching a title.
Automatic Updates and Future Support
One of the standout features of the Snapdragon Control Panel is its ability to check for GPU driver updates in the background, providing notifications when new versions are available. Users can opt for automatic installations, simplifying the process and ensuring a seamless gaming experience without the hassle of manual downloads.
Accompanying this launch is a new Adreno GPU driver release, which Qualcomm claims addresses issues for over 100 games since its initial rollout. The update also includes stability enhancements and lays the groundwork for upgradable graphics drivers for the forthcoming Snapdragon X2 Elite, anticipated in the first half of 2026.
Additionally, Qualcomm has confirmed that AVX2 emulation will soon be available for both current Snapdragon X-series and the next-generation X2 Elite devices, further expanding the capabilities of its hardware.
