Copilot+ PCs are currently navigating a competitive landscape, as they lack a standout feature that distinctly sets them apart from rival devices. While the promise of AI capabilities is evident in the best AI PCs, not all of these machines carry the Copilot+ label. Microsoft is actively working to enhance the appeal of Copilot+ PCs, focusing on innovative features that could redefine user experience.

In an exciting development, Microsoft Paint is set to introduce a Copilot menu that consolidates all of the app’s AI tools into a single, user-friendly interface. Over the past few years, Copilot has gradually integrated various AI features, including the DALL-E-powered Cocreator launched in 2023, along with generative fill and background removal tools that debuted last year. These functionalities will now be conveniently accessible under the new Copilot menu, which is currently being tested among Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels. Notably, the Cocreator feature will remain exclusive to Copilot+ PCs.
Improved Windows Search

Beyond the Copilot menu, Microsoft is also enhancing the Windows Search functionality for Windows Insiders using Copilot+ PCs equipped with Snapdragon processors, with plans to extend support to Intel and AMD devices in the future. This improved search feature allows users to locate content within File Explorer using natural language queries. Users can effortlessly find images stored in the cloud or search for keywords within documents, streamlining the process of accessing a wide range of content. Microsoft initially announced this upgraded Windows Search feature last year, and it is currently being tested within File Explorer, with future integration planned for the universal Windows Search pane.
As Microsoft continues to roll out these innovative features, the focus remains on enhancing the user experience for Copilot+ PCs, setting the stage for a more compelling offering in the competitive landscape of AI-powered devices.
