Microsoft has rolled out two significant cumulative updates for Windows 11: KB5053598 for version 24H2 and KB5053602 for version 23H2. These updates are deemed mandatory as they encompass the essential security patches from the March 2025 Patch Tuesday, addressing vulnerabilities identified in prior months.
To install the updates, users can navigate through Start > Settings > Windows Update and select ‘Check for Updates’. Alternatively, the updates can also be manually downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
What’s new in the March 2025 Patch Tuesday update
Upon installation, the build number for Windows 11 24H2 will be updated to Build 26100.3476, while 23H2 will change to 22631.5039. This month’s Patch Tuesday introduces a variety of new features, including an Xbox advertisement within the Settings menu.

For Windows 11 24H2, a known issue persists where users cannot download and play Roblox from the Microsoft Store on Arm devices. Additionally, both versions encounter an issue where the Windows EventViewer may incorrectly display an Event 7023 error regarding SgrmBroker.exe. Microsoft has indicated that SgrmBroker.exe currently serves no purpose and plans to address this error in a future update.
