When is Pokémon Champions coming out on mobile?
Pokémon Champions will launch on iOS and Android in June 2026. That window was revealed through the official Pokémon Champions Korean website, according to Beebom. No exact date has been announced as of April 2026, but the two-month gap between the Switch launch (April 8) and the mobile window points toward a mid-June release. The comparison to Pokémon Unite is the clearest precedent here. Unite launched on Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021, then arrived on mobile exactly two months later on September 22, 2021. Pokémon Champions is also free-to-play, structured similarly to Unite, and the Korean site’s June window lines up almost exactly with that same two-month pattern. Based on that pattern, the second week of June 2026 is the most likely target, though The Pokémon Company hasn’t pinned down a specific date yet.

The June 2026 window was confirmed via the Pokémon Champions Korean website. No global announcement with an exact date has been made as of this writing.
What platforms will Pokémon Champions support?
The game is confirmed for three platforms:
- Nintendo Switch
- iOS
- Android
The Pokémon Company described the game as bringing “the core Pokémon battling experience to more players than ever before, with both Nintendo Switch and smartphone users able to enjoy strategic battles against each other featuring different Pokémon types, abilities and move selections,” according to the official press release.
Can you pre-register for Pokémon Champions on mobile?
Not yet. As of early April 2026, pre-registration for the mobile version has not opened on either the Google Play Store or the App Store. Based on the expected June release window, Beebom speculates that pre-registration will likely go live somewhere between late May and mid-June 2026. When it does open, you’ll be able to pre-register through the official Pokémon Champions website, the Google Play Store for Android, or the App Store for iOS. Pre-registering through the store means the game installs automatically on your device the moment it goes live globally.

Set a reminder for late May to check the official Pokémon Champions website and your respective app store. Pre-registration bonuses are common for Pokémon mobile launches.
What content will the mobile version include?
The mobile version of Pokémon Champions is expected to carry the same core content as the Switch version. That includes the Battle Pass, core game mechanics, and animations. There’s also a good chance the Starter Pack bundle available to Switch players will carry over to mobile. One thing worth knowing: Pokémon Champions currently features a limited number of final evolution Pokémon. More are expected to be added over time, and the mobile launch could bring additional roster additions. The cross-platform angle is one of the more interesting parts of this game. Players can bring in Pokémon they’ve collected in other titles, including Pokémon RPG games and Pokémon GO. That means your GO collection isn’t just sitting there for raids; it can translate into competitive battles in Champions.
warning
Early access on mobile may be limited to content creators at launch, similar to how the Nintendo Switch early access worked. General availability should follow shortly after.
Will the mobile version be better than the Switch version?
If Pokémon Unite is any guide, yes. The mobile release of Unite was noticeably more polished than the Switch launch, arriving with fewer bugs and a smoother overall experience. Pokémon Champions launching two months after Switch gives The Pokémon Company time to address early issues and optimize specifically for touchscreen controls. That’s actually a decent reason to wait if you don’t own a Switch. The mobile version may end up being the cleaner experience at launch.
