Completing the Battening Down quest in Arc Raiders proved to be a more intricate endeavor than anticipated. While I typically excel at pinpointing locations, the task of locating the leaking oil pipe presented a unique challenge. Although directions guide you toward the correct pipeline, the absence of visible leaks complicates the search, leaving one uncertain until the exact spot is discovered. In contrast, the requirements to photograph the seal wall and sample some seaweed are relatively straightforward. Below is a detailed guide on how to navigate the Battening Down quest in the latest Riven Tides update.

Depending on your starting point, you may choose to tackle these tasks in a different sequence, but the proximity of the sea wall and the oil pipe makes them ideal to complete together. For the photographic task, head to the Wavebreaker sea wall located in the northeast. I found success capturing an image at the southern end of the far left strut visible on the map.
Typically, for objectives that involve photography, multiple locations are available for capturing the required image. Therefore, it’s likely you can snap a photo at the southern end of any of the Wavebreaker’s substantial concrete struts that extend from north to south.

Next, make your way northeast across the Wavebreaker to locate the large, partially buried pipeline. This particular pipeline stands out as it is the rightmost one and notably the only intact pipeline in the vicinity. Approach the southern end where it meets the sea wall, and then follow the leftmost pipe northward until you encounter the yellow interact icon indicating where to fix it.
This task took me a bit longer than expected, as the section of the pipe requiring repair does not exhibit any visible leaks—it appears simply as a standard pipe. Once you interact with it to initiate the repair, you will have completed this segment of the quest.

After addressing the oil pipe, proceed west to Azzurro Beach, located just north of the Hotel Panorama Azzurro. This area features a charming pier, sun loungers, and weathered parasols, but your focus should be directed slightly northward to the shoreline, where you will need to search for piles of seaweed.
When instructed to “sample” the shoreline, it is essential to note that this literally means you need to interact with a pile of seaweed. Look for a suitable patch and engage with the yellow marked icon to scan it. With all three tasks completed, the quest reaches its conclusion.
