For those unfamiliar with the project, Moonlight Pale is a 2D hand-drawn survival horror game set in a late 1800s female seminary. Players will step into the shoes of Juliette, a student at St. Birgitta’s Female Seminary, as she embarks on a haunting journey following the ghost of her deceased cat into an abandoned building nestled within the seminary’s gardens. As she navigates through the eerie corridors, Juliette must confront various monsters and apparitions while striving to assist her fellow students trapped within.
Development of Moonlight Pale commenced in December 2025, and updates indicate that the foundational systems have been programmed, the full script is complete, and voice lines for the first two chapters have been recorded. The development team, Blue Lily, consists of duo Ao Clover, an independent illustrator and animator, and Cachi Cordova, who handles programming and design.
With the project now exceeding its initial goals, anticipation builds for the next stages of development and the eventual release of Moonlight Pale.
