Respawn Entertainment has provided a significant update from their dedicated anti-cheat team regarding the ongoing efforts to maintain a fair gaming environment in Apex Legends. Since the end of April, the team has issued nearly 6,000 hardware bans across both PC and console platforms, a notable escalation in their fight against cheating.
This latest announcement follows a previous report from May, which revealed a staggering total of 139,697 bans implemented across all platforms where Apex Legends is available. These bans addressed a variety of cheating infractions, reflecting the team’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the game. Just last week, the anti-cheat team highlighted that exploits related to the “jitter aim” aim assist system are also classified as cheating, further broadening their scope of enforcement.
