Neverness to Everness brought developers hundreds of millions of dollars

Neverness to Everness: A Financial Success Story

Neverness to Everness by Perfect World Games has proven to be a lucrative venture, earning over 7 million in just two months since its launch on April 29, 2026. The game brought in a staggering 1.4 billion yuan, showcasing its popularity among gamers worldwide.

From the very first day of its release, Neverness to Everness exceeded expectations, with sales surpassing 100 million yuan (.8 million). Within a month, the game’s global revenue outpaced its Chinese market performance, solidifying its position as a top-grossing title.

According to reports from Perfect World Games, more than 60% of the game’s revenue came from PC and Android players. The iOS version of Neverness to Everness has consistently ranked as one of the most profitable apps in China and other regions, while also dominating the PlayStation Store charts in countries like Japan.

Despite the game’s immense success, Perfect World Games anticipates a loss for the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, ranging from 80 to 120 million yuan (-18 million). This is attributed to significant marketing expenses leading up to the global open beta test in April. However, the company remains optimistic that profits from Neverness to Everness will start to materialize in the third quarter.

Currently, the revenue generated by Neverness to Everness accounts for approximately 25% of Perfect World Games’ total gaming division revenue for 2025. The game is available on multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, PS5, Windows, and macOS, catering to a diverse audience of gamers.
