Microsoft and Ubisoft are deepening their collaboration with an innovative feature aimed at bridging the gap between Xbox and Windows gaming. This partnership will not only enhance the selection of Ubisoft content available in the Xbox PC app but also introduce a new benefit for players who own Ubisoft games digitally on Xbox consoles.
New Console-to-PC Entitlement Program
The centerpiece of this initiative is a groundbreaking console-to-PC entitlement program. Players who have already purchased eligible Ubisoft games on Xbox will gain automatic access to the corresponding PC versions through Ubisoft Connect, all at no extra cost. Microsoft has indicated that this rollout will be gradual, with qualifying users expected to receive access by August 4.
A total of 13 games are included in the initial wave of supported titles:

- Far Cry 6
- Watch Dogs: Legion
- Rainbow Six Siege

In addition to this new ownership benefit, Ubisoft has expanded its catalog within the Xbox PC app. Gamers can now purchase a wider array of premium editions, expansions, and downloadable content directly through Microsoft’s storefront, featuring major releases such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Rainbow Six Siege.

However, there are a few limitations to be aware of. This feature operates in one direction only, meaning that PC owners will not receive Xbox console versions of eligible games. Additionally, while most premium editions and downloadable content will transfer, consumable items such as in-game currency and other one-time-use purchases generally will not unless the game supports full cross-progression.
This announcement follows another recent initiative by Microsoft aimed at further integrating the Xbox and PC ecosystems. Earlier this month, the company launched Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC, enabling four original Xbox games to run natively on Windows for the first time. Together, these initiatives underscore Microsoft’s commitment to blurring the lines between console and PC ownership.
For players who already own any of the supported Ubisoft titles on Xbox, there’s no need for additional purchases. Once the rollout reaches their accounts, the games will automatically appear in Ubisoft Connect. To ensure the new entitlement is detected promptly, Microsoft recommends updating the Ubisoft Connect client to the latest version.
